India landed on the MOON and HISTORY was made
Pictures from the live visuals of the Chandrayaan program

On the 23rd of April India signed their names in the history books once again as they successfully managed to land their lunar lander Chandrayaan-3 on the moons surface. Not only did they manage to pull of this mission with great accuracy and incredible precision but with the successful landing of Chandrayaan-3 India is the fourth nation in human history to ever land on the moon.

This historic accomplishment further cements Indias rise as a global space power at a time of heightened international competition in space.

🚀 Why is indias moon landing so significant?

The succes of the Chandrayaan-3 mission which was led by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO) is a mark of national prestige. ISRO made this mission possible through the technological advancement of India as a nation and it sets India up to lead interantionally in the exploration of frozen water on the Moon. It is interesting to see that both the US and Russia have led some serious eyes on moon exploration with the Artemis and the Lunar program.

What makes Chandrayaan so internationally special and proactive is that it has successfully managed to land on the moon and not only circle it, as the Artemis  mission did, nor did it fail like the Luna-25 space craft which demolished on the 20th of August when it crashed into the moons surface. Indian Prime Minister Modi highlighted that "[technological development and moon exploration] are the foundation of a bright future for our nation."

🌓 ISRO and its goals for the nation

With the amazing achievement of the moon landing the Indian national space program remarks history and it is actually part of a broader governmental strategy. The indian government actively supports and financially reinforces the importance of technological development. The space program is seen as a pathway for creating an attractive image of high-technological development in order to attract young Indians into the fields of scientific research.

🤔 What do YOU think about this historic achievement?

The successful moon-landing of the Indian spacecraft without a doubt remarks history in the way we approach space travel. My question for you today is: Do you think that the governmental investment in space travel is the right idea?

And furthermore It would interest me wether or not you think that the nation you live in should invest more into international spacetravel in order to redefine the ways we approach our universe.

I hope you have enjoyed this little look into the indian space exploration. Tell me your thoughts down below.
